Haha Hendrika, yup. Or are you looking for a sample to do case study? Eating disorder is quite wide I think ... some related to bulimia, some due to difficult to control emotional eating, some due to serotonin, etc.
I am trying to find anyone who has found that, in one or more patients, OCD symptoms worsened or abated depending on food consumption. For example, the patient consumes a large quantity of a certain food for a few days and symptoms worsen, or the patient stops eating animal products and symptoms worsen.
MMM. Sorry Lucy, I don't think I experienced that, and I am not a doctor. For me, on personal level, sometimes certain food consumption (esp. carbo. based, etc) did abate my symptoms (of course not cure it). On DSM, I think they took out OCD from GAD I think for latest DSM-V. I recalled writing their justification paper then when they were reviewing it. The earlier hypothesis is Anxiety -> Specific OCD -> Reduce Anxiety And specific OCD is traditional examples like washing hands, arrangement books, doing some other physically repetitive stuff. I don't have that symptoms. Mine is more intrusive thoughts which can be anything depending on cues that came in the mind.
