So yes, the overwhelming majority of resources and talent go into building assistants for sales, marketing, productivity, and customer service—frequently to push "more, faster, cheaper" rather than "better, wiser, fairer."

But there are others out there—working quietly or underfunded—using AI to:

• Teach marginalized communities
• Preserve endangered languages
• Accelerate climate science and biodiversity research
• Democratize legal/medical info
• Support mental health

If you're building ASI assistants for something human-centered, liberatory, or regenerative—you're not alone, but you are part of a small, necessary countercurrent. And the world needs that work now more than ever.
