My studies in Nepali university colleges/ campuses have shown that a large majority of those teaching Managerial/ Business Communication hold only masters degree in English literature without any MBA degree. Is it justified? What is your opinion? How is the practice in your country??
The main teaching for this for our university is from lecturers with MBA or Doctor of Business Administration. What is justified depends on what the teaching specifically requires and whether you think the person can be considered competent on the basis of their existing qualification and experience. On this basis what is justified in my opinion, as opposed to practice that I have observed, is to take each situation and consider carefully exactly what skills and knowledge are to be taught and then identify someone with the necessary qualifications and experience that align with that role and specific subject. Past experience indicates that basing any teaching appointment on qualification alone does not provide reassurance of the capabilities of the individual to teach the subject as expected.

Yet shouldn't there be any pre-qualification criterion to appoint a teacher for Business/ Managerial Communication subject for MBA students?
