Most PhD graduates from the developing countries, who work for academic area, might face some difficulties in doing further research in their countries due to several reasons such as low budget for research, insufficient research equipment and facilities in their universities, etc. However, they are so eager to do further research related to their specialization. Hence, they might look for some research cooperation projects that they can work with other foreign researchers. In this case, which ways are the best possible for them to have a good chance to cooperate with the foreign researchers?
University partnerships provide a huge amount of opportunities for students and staff alike. Along with research opportunities and cultural awareness, institutions can offer international experiences including study abroad programs and staff exchanges. Developing successful relationships takes a long time, from understanding the culture and goals of each other’s institutions to ensuring compatibility in terms of ethics and standards, it can take a lot of effort to forge a strong connection.
Research has shown that the best way to form these partnerships often stems from taking a personal approach. Staff working relationships as the optimal means of forming connections, through meetings, exchanges, and academic events etc.
The presence in Congresses at the beginning of scientific careers is crucial to create networks of contacts.

As for me, I will have a possible answer. Because I am currently doing my doctoral study abroad. I have discussed with my Supervisor about the possibilities of the further research cooperation. Therefore, even if I have graduated my PhD from a foreign university, I will still have a good chance to work for further research projects by cooperating with my Supervisor and colleagues. But, my possible answer will apply only to the students who studied/are studying abroad.

Working on joint projects, where the project investor commits more developed countries to include scientists from developing countries, such some of the EU-funded projects. Unfortunately, this is almost the only way to be involved as a scientist from developing countries in this kind of research.

Since I am coming from a developing country, I see that there are so many things to address in order to increase the opportunities of research cooperation with the foreign researchers. Foreign researchers with research budgets may also help by inviting African researchers with budgetary constraints to collaborate with them. In this way those researchers with no money can still do their research work
