And which model, of which company, you can find out about the prices. They already know how much is what they offer is worth. If you can afford one of the higher-end products, it is best to choose the most expensive one and, additionally, various useful additional and auxiliary devices. And it is necessary to train the staff properly, because such an instrument requires several competent people, one is not enough. It is best to send these people for several-week internships to various laboratories that use similar spectrometers on a daily basis in the field of geological materials analysis. And if you don't have that much money, the simplest quadrupole spectrometer with a collision-reaction cell can also do a lot. Good luck!

I use the ICP-AES spectrometer on a daily basis, sometimes also FAAS, occasionally also ICP-MS GBC OptiMass 9500 (simultaneous operation, but without a collision-reaction cell), but in application to samples of environmental materials, such as precipitation, various surface waters and underground, i.e. very simple analyzes that do not require special measurement capabilities. So, if I were to choose a new spectrometer to buy, it would rather be the OptiMass 9600 (it already has a cell). But you are dealing with geological materials, rocks, ores, individual minerals, so you should consult analysts working in laboratories analyzing geological materials which, by nature, have a great variety of phase and elemental compositions.
