when you say emission are you talking about fluorescence spectroscopy or UV-Vis??? because in UV-Vis this band is related to the pernigraniline state with bipolarons, so it is a Pi-bipolaron or bipolaron-Pi* transition, and anyway the presence of this band in the UV-Vis spectrum is controversial because there are different authors that says that this band exhists and others says that don't exhists or is in another place in spectrum...
The term "emission" confuses me. If you are talking about UV-Vis transmittance/absorbance, then this peak is for the polaron-π* transition. It becomes stronger over protonation.
