I am writing a research proposal and I have to analyze my data.
My research is about student's time management and its relation to academic performance. I am using Britton and Tesser, Time management questionnaire but I am not sure which statistical analysis to use for my results?

If the Time management questionnaire produces an interval-level scale score, then you can correlate it with academic performance. If you need to do more complex analyses, then you can substitute regression for correlation.
The answer to your question depends on the way you have measured "academic performance" and time management. Although you mentioned that you used TMQ (35 items questionnaire, I believe) for measuring the time management, however, it is not clear how "academic performance" was measured.
Assuming you have a single item measure for "academic performance", running a correlation or regression will 35 items of TMQ will be a killer. I am not saying that David's suggestion is non-practical-his advice has always been excellent and given the information he has rightly guided.
Had I been you, I would have run a factor analysis (Exploratory/EFA) to identify the underlying latent factors and then further run a correlation or regression (as suggested by David). As an example, you can have a look at this paper*:

* I just ran a quick Google scholar search and found it. The approach is similar to what I envisaged.
