As Indoor air pollution and increased carbon dioxide in the environment causing health hazard not only to humen but also whole ecosystem, for this strong environmental policies are needed to be made and implemented with no disturbance to forest land if the world as primary rule, but in the meantime can we use moss as low or without maintenance carbon sequestering and particulate matter absorbing indoor air pollution fighting agent grown as decorative piece in home, if so which moss variety is the most suitable for the purpose ?

Thank you for the update on pilot project, it will surely help in future research analysing the quantity of moss per unit area ratio which could be helpful in eliminating air particulate matter pollution indoor and minimising carbon dioxide quantity by sequestering it. @Stefan Gey
I think it could be a very compact and very resistant species of moss with large leaves and fast reproduction many times in a year, for example:
Thamnobryum alopecurum (Hedw) Gangulee, Thamnobryum mediterraneum (Bott)
Microeurhynchium pumilum (Wilson)

Thank you for the pdf of mediterranean moss list, that's really helpful in picking up most suitable moss for my project. I think for different agro climatic zones different species will work as best carbon sequestering and purifying indoor air by removing air particulate matter, also I am trying to plant them on mycelium based panel so that temperature and noise can also be modulated according to the need.
