Solubilizing agents (containing ester group -COO-, for example, Polysorbate 80, cremophor RH 40) will be hydrolyzed in aqueous solution containing complex of Zn2+. I suppose that Zn2+ is incompatible with these surfactants, for Zn2+ activates the catalytic ester hydrolysis.
If you want to solublize vitamin E in water, you can use Vitamin E acetate. That will be soluble in water. Or you can make an emulsion with vitamin E oil.

Thanks for your attention, but ethanol is not suitable, cause ethanol is not a surfactant. My final aim is to solubilize vitamin E acetate (oily phase) in water. Or you mean that together with ethanol, we have to use a certain else surfactant?
Vitamin E acetate is oily phase, it is not soluble in water. I actually have to make emulsion, but have not chosen suitable surfactant.
Have you tried tween... What is the other oil you going to mix with vitamin E. I think you can't make emulsion just with vit E and water. You calculate the HLB value for the final mixture, then think about the surfactants.

I've tried Tween 80, but anyway Tween 80 was hydrolized (cause there exists ester group -COO- within the molecular), in my opinion, under the attack of Zn2+ complex.
Could you suggest me suitable surfactant (solubilizing agent), containing only, for example, ether group that can be used for oral solution?
