In the attachment, I am trying to classify rectifier elaborately (uncontrolled and uncontrolled). Rectifier can be classified in many types, sub types.
Is it possible to classify more (adding recently used configuration )?
If you know more about this please share your answer to improve this classification.

From your link we saw: Single Phase and Three Phase uncontrolled rectifiers. Therefore, first rectifiers are suitable only for low to medium power applications. For power output higher than 15kW, three-phase diode rectifiers should be employed. The output of the bridge rectifier has inherently less ripple than the half-wave rectifier, and filtering is easy realization.
Diode, SCR, diac and triac all commuted on same force of single phase controlled rectifier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Rectifier configuration and switches ..which to be used is based on the environment where you are using them..mean to say about controlling of motor or domestic applications or input to the rectifier is from AC source directly or inverter output......
Usually for low power applications bridge rectifier followed by a voltage regulator can be used ..i.e for up to 24V..latter on as increase in current rating,,rectifier size and type of devices using will be differed to bulk size.....suppose for 220V and 100A ...we will opt to go for a carbon rectifier...which uses in DC machines Lab to drive DC machines.

A widely used rectifier is the three phase, 6 pulse, diode bridge rectifier. It's main use is low voltage motor drive front end.
The headlines of rectifier classifications can be single phase(or mono phase) and poly phase rectifiers instead of three phase rectifiers to my opinion. Three phase rectifier is a subclass of poly phase rectifier family. 12 pulse (controlled or uncontrolled) rectifier with 12 diodes (or solid state switches) supplied via star / delta secondary windings of a three phase transformer can be given as an example of poly phase rectifier.
Besides Vienna rectifier circuit also has to be taken into consideration if power factor correction is important. Here is the link:

Un controlled single phase bridge and three phase bridge rectifiers are commonly used for most of the applications. Use of single phase bridge rectifier is limited upto the power level of 5-10KW. Because of its high input current requirement,it causes unbalance in the mains line voltage. For power levels of more than 10KW, three phase bridge rectifier is used because of its simple circuit and less ripple voltage. Also 12 pulse three phase rectifier is the best for high voltage applications because the ripple voltage is very less and it reduces the cost of HV capacitors used for filtering.
