I'm currently looking for proteins known to stick to glass. Currently I know that avidin (and its various derivatives) stick well but I'm searching for smaller proteins (< 60 kDa). I've tried lysozyme, but it is far less sticky compared to avidin even with its high isoelectric point.
I'm working with borosilicate glass in PBS buffer (pH ~ 7.3) and would like to, if possible, not change the pH.
I'd try gelatin - it sticks to everything - that's why it's used as glue.

There are several relatively small tags which drive silica binding, including the proline-rich protein (PRP1) but only pep3 from this ref was able to do it above pH 7

Any natural protein with a predominant cationic surface charge at pH 7.3 might be expected to bind glass. There are many, thus the popularity of Sigmacoat back when glass containers were commonly used. For example myeloperoxidase is highly cationic and binding to negative charges seems to be an important part of its function, and is easily reversed by heparin addition.
