I never use vibrating blade microtomes but I think this information will be helpful

For ordinary microtomes I recommend to fix tissue in acetic alcohol and paraffin embedding. But what fixative to use and some futher procedures depends on what dyes you want to use.

In my opinion for this reason will be better to embeding material in wax or resin , cut mictorom and staining. Vibratom sections are about 20-50 um. Thay could be to thick and multilayer. It dependen on kinde of material. Materiał could be fiix in 4% glutaroaldehide or 4% paraformaldehyde. The harder matarial it easyer to cut on vibratom.

What you can do is embed your sample in 5% agar rose gel and you should be good to go
