Which personal pronoun is appropriate in single-author papers - 'I' or 'we'? For example: "In this paper, we will explore..." or "In this paper, I will explore..." .
Usually, people avoid using "I" and "we". Instead which is probably common and (perhaps better) to write in passive. e.g. the amount of ... will be explored ...
I always try to avoid 'I/we/me' by rephrasing the sentence into the passive voice. For instance, instead of "I have calculated statistics using this algorithm..." it's better to say "The statistics has been calculated using this algorithm", etc. You can also include "Photos made by author" rather than "Photos made by me"
