It's easy to solve the heat conduction problem in 1D composite media (e.g., multilayered cylinder) as shown in chapter 10 of the book 'Heat conduction 3rd 2012, Hahn & Özişik' by using the Quasi-Orthogonal Functions proposed by Tittle 1965.
However, which orthogonal expansion techniques can be used to solve the problem in multidimensional composite media (e.g., orthotropic multilayered cylinder)?
Can I have some relevant materials for solving my question, please?

There is a very old and very thorough textbook on solutions to heat conduction problems. It is "Conduction of Heat in Solids," by Carslaw and Jaeger, Second Edition, Oxford University Press, 1959. I think that this book will answer your question. See Chapter XIII for composite cylinders. These old and thorough books are hard to find so you might have to go searching for a copy.
