collabrative one, because a team is a set of knowledge grouped into a package. This implies less erratic, more accurate and better results. Nevertheless, if the team is too large, one can observe the mass effect which is negative to the production.

Well, I think it depends. Sometimes it is preferable to work collaboratively in a project if it is wide and deep that need a lot of work. In actual situation, most of the work done by one of the partners due to many reasons. Individual research paper on the other hand is the best as I think because it reflects your efforts, your knowledge, professionality, style and your viewpoint.

Big research is the efforts of cummulative prople. However,fundamental research may be individual in nature. Both have merits and demerits.

In my book, there's no preference in individual or collaborative research, it fully depends on the aim and the purpose of your research. 

If quality of the work is good, it doesnt make a difference...whether it is individual or collaborative. 

To me, it depends on the way the researcher perceives power. For example, if they perceive power as collaboration, then, logically, the most powerful research paper is the collaborative one.

I go with collaborative and each one have a well

known part in whole study.

A collaborative one is found to have more impact than that of a solo research paper. Firstly, a team effort is always better than an individual's job, and secondly, it has been found in many studies that the collaborative works attract more citations than those of single author papers. 

Collaborative work and each co-researcher would put his/her actual own contribution. AS working as a team would means the involvement of various related subspecialties that would complement each other

Individual or team publication does not matter, further there is nothing powerful in research, as long as your work keeps going on and getting published. Team should sync... that is the catch.

Judging the most powerful research depends on the rigor and comprehensiveness of a research in remedying particular problem(s) in the society. Who can do it best in a particular research? If it can be done best in a solo fashion then it's just fine. If it requires pluralistic ideas, then a team would be preferreble.

It should be borne in mind that a distinguished scholar is the one who can work best independently in individual projects while showing great team spirit and cooperative thinking while working in group projects as well.

I think it depends on the worker's or co-workers' individual perception.

It depends on the job's nature as well.

And it depends on the worker's or co-workers' individual skills and abilities.

Besides that, some people work better alone then in a group, some the other way round.

While volleyball is played with 6 players working together, Tennis is played by only 1 player. I mean, it is not a question of choosing a team or not, the question is whether the work demands one worker or many.

If you wanna build a wall 2 workers will finish it faster than one working alone.

It is said that Newton hated to be surrounded by people. Anyhow he did a nice job alone.

But if you think of research about the environment, I think that the bigger the team and the bigger is its member's individual expertise, the less the team will make mistakes.

In collaboration there is an opportunity for collection of data using modern instruments/equipments further a change for interact and exchange scientific information.

Both the individual and collaborative papers have their own strengths. Individual papers may contribute to fundamental theoretical and methodological contributions. Collaborative papers are able to contribute to interdisciplinary research more effectively. I personally prefer individual papers.

A good researcher should have a mix of both in his/her CV. Single author papers indicates the true worth of a researcher and also the capabilities he/she possesses. To bring more disciplines into a work, collaborative work is also welcome provided the co-authors all contribute. Dummy authorship is a strict no-no for me.

Actually the quality and the contents of a manuscripts decides its power, that can be written by an individual or in collaboration. However, if an individual write a good manuscript then certainly it is an indication of his/her strong academic power.

What I have seen in my life is the collaborative research paper is powerful compared to individual because the effectiveness of the paper is profound in a collaborative paper- an individual has limitations but collaborative work normally leads to efficient, effective and comprehensive presentation. Of course some exceptional cases may exist because of some genius individual but in general collaborative paper will be more powerful and acceptable

if all members contribute, collaborative paper is good, which is many a times rare. individual paper requires your own hard work, perseverance, time management and credit as well as discredit is your own. There is no one else to applaud or blame.

It depends on the topic of the research, on the aim you want to achieve, on the quality of possible collaborators. And, of course, on the requirements of the sponsor of the research in case it is financed from a program. Sometimes individual research paper will be better, another time – collaborative one. E.g. I usually prepare individual research papers. But when I want to internationalize it, I invite some foreign scholars to collaborate. If I want to use methodology which I don’t know enough, I invite an expert in this field to join me.

Nowadays the ability to cooperate in a group gains more and more value. This is also important in scientific work. In the natural or exact sciences, actually making ground-breaking achievements alone, as a result of a one-off flash of genius, actually went to the past. Today, every achievement is the result of tedious but well organized teamwork and, of course, this is reflected in the links of the authors of almost every important article.

In the social sciences and the humanities the case looks different. Here, however, individual achievements count the most. Usually groundbreaking discoveries or achievements are attended by individuals. Although you have taken a good look at group work, discussions in working groups and the critical look of colleagues on a given problem are of great value. Therefore, in these sciences more breakthrough achievements are branded with only one name.

I prefer collaborate work especially with the advance technology and instrumentation for medical and most advanced science research that requires the use of laboratories and highly sophisticated technology that needs the collective accomplishment of specialized, trained and skilled researchers or workers.

However a researcher can express her/him self by a solo work in certain area of science that dose not require the use of lab technique, through several areas of scientific knowlegde like editing or writing a review , chapter in a book. Browse the WWW for a specific question of interest, perform a retrospective analysis of data . ..........etc
