As I understand your question, I take the term ‘courses’ to mean courses of study. ‘Transport logistics’ is in effect a specialist subsection of the wider field of study ‘supply chain management’ and I suggest that you start by first reviewing the literature on both topics (e.g. see below).

I suggest that you should then assess (a) your personal ability to understand and benefit from such a course; and (b) your personal interest; Scientific? Academic? Practical application? Career Choice? in the topic. On one hand, there are clear scientific and technical aspects of the chosen topic; and on the other hand there are the commercial and practical application considerations that may interest you.

Your question is a relevant one and many people often ask the same question. That is the reason I became an APICS-Certified in Logistics Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) so that I can actually understand the difference. These concepts are often misunderstood. According to APICS (2016)

1. Supply chain management (SCM) is “The design, planning, execution, control and monitoring of supply activities…”

2. Transportation is “The function of planning, scheduling and controlling activities related to mode, vendor, and movement of inventories into and out of an organization”

3. Logistics is “a subset of supply chain management that controls the forward and reverse movement, handling and storage of goods between origin and distribution points.”

Logistics consists of ten “core activities. The ten core logistics activities are:

1- Order management

2-Logistics information systems

3- Packaging

4- Transportation

5- Material Handling

6- Warehousing

7-Inventory management

8-customer service management

9-Import

10-Export

As you can see Transportation is one of the ten (10) “core activities of logistics” (APICS,- CLTD, 2018, p.1-6).

Conclusion: Logistics is a subset of supply chain management, and Transportation is a subset of logistics. In fact, transportation is the largest logistics cost.

Now your question what course to pursue?

The answer is: It depends on your needs and goals.

If your goal is to understand “external business subjects such as the extended supply chain, from organizations’ suppliers through to the end customers”, then pursue supply chain management. SCM extend beyond the one given organization's operations.

If your goal is to master just one aspect of logistics such as transportation then take the transportation course. You will learn fundamentals of transportation, transportation modes ( road, rail, air, water, pipeline, parcel, courier, express services, intermodal and multimodal transportation,…), as well as transportation management that includes network design, planning, organization, structure, costs, routing, billing, insurance, incoterms, tracing and tracking etc.

Actually, experts do not use terms such as transport logistics because transportation is just one of the ten core logistics activities. Often you will see Logistics—Transportation meaning a focus will be on transportation, which is, again, a subset of logistics,

It is a fascination field of study.

Transport logistics is within supply chain management, so it depends on what you want. You can do supply chain management and specialize in transport logistics.
