These sensors on Aqua cannot image a blue whale because of their coarse spatial resolutions. You need very high resolution satellites like IKONOS and similar kind for the desired task. You may want to contact Ron Abileah. He has worked on mapping marine mammals and humbacks using satellite sensors. Check attached links.
I second James' statement that because of their moderate/low spatial resolution, above sensors do not have a great chance to yield reliable analysis. Nevertheless, in addition to have a look at Ron's work, you may also want to consider using high resolution data including both optical and radar (SAR) data. Such as IKONOS, ENVISAT data for example.
