Superbugs are major public health concern and we have different strategies to address the issue. However we need to prioritize them.
which one is more likely to be successful?
1)Targeting the resistance mechanisms and finding a solution for them OR 2) Looking for new therapeutic agents working on a different mechanism?
Which one is dominant nowadays and which one will be the future option?
I am not able to predict the future, but both options seem equally important for me. However, these are not the only strategies to fight antimicrobial resistance. Strategy 1, targeting the resistance mechanism (e.g. putting novel beta-lactamase inhibitors to market) has already proven of being successful (with Ceftazidim/Avibactam as a recent example). This may not stop resistance development but provides a time gain. With non-antimicrobial strategies (2), we are going a new way. To tackle certain types of infections, this may be a promising approach. Phages, for instance, have been in use for decades. In order to have phages as marketed medication on the shelf, a number of issues need clearance. Nevertheless, there is no guaranty that bugs do not become resistant even to phages. That is why I vote for other measures as well. Antimicrobial stewardship programs, prudent and rational use of antibiotics and fast diagnostics are equally important in addressing the AMR problem as the search for novel compounds.

Both of the way that you said is right.
Also there are many research that show new way such as keep bacteria in presist phase.
On the other hand I think find new antibiotic was successfull than other way so there is a big gap in other way.
