In stress condition bacillus form spore, and when they get favourable conditions they start their activity again.

Bacillus are mainly endosporic in nature. However, they can remain at dormant stage for thousand of years, but can return to viable stage rapidly if exposed to nutrients. Its feasible to store them via inactivation, while certain measures are undertaken precisely.
