Ti is another common adhesion metal for Au. Also make sure the surface is clean. You might try a O2 RIE clean before metal deposition.

Initially treat PDMS in a low power plasma @30 sec. for surface modification and better adhesion. Better try to deposit by Sputtering with Argon plasma @ very low gas flow rate. Cr/Au has no problem, also you can use Nickel , Ni-chrome.

Phase in the Au-Cr. Be sure the Au starts before the Cr is finished.
