If you are running a Pushover Analysis (or TH), select the push load case (or TH) for the calculation of V. Once you run the analysis, the hinge properties will be automatically updated according to the calculated value of "V". Re-run the analysis again by allowing update of the hinge properties until there is no significant difference between two successive analysis results. Alternatively, you can update the Automatic Hinge properties from "Assign > Update All Generated Hinge Properties".
In ASCE 41-17, the V value for automatic hinge assignment for beams should be determined using the following load combination: 1.2D + 1.0E + 0.5L + 0.2S
Note that this load combination is only applicable for seismic design. For non-seismic design, different load combinations may apply.
