I am conducting a survey on users of public transportation. My Ho is that there is no difference between the attribute of users and non-users. The intention here is to highlight the users' attributes (Gender, Age, income level, occupation, ...) and to distinguish the differences between the two classes. Given that I intend to use questionary, should I find a validated one or build my research design?
It is better to build your own research design. You can try binomial logistics regression.
If you want to assess each of these hypotheses separately, then a set of t-Tests will accomplish that. Since you are measuring simple concepts with high "face validity," you do not need to borrow from existing research/
In a statistical survey, we always start from the existing.
If the object of your research has already been carried out in other contexts, you simply have to adapt the tools used to your territorial (and possibly temporal) context.
If not, start from scratch by building your tools.
