Dear colleagues,
we are looking for long-term (more than a decade) datasets of research quality Sea Surface Height data for the Mediterranean Sea.
Specifically we are interested in high-frequency (e.g. hourly, 3-hourly or daily) sea level elevation (not mean sea level anomalies) measurements from tide gauges anywhere in the Mediterranean Sea. The time frame could cover any period from 1970 to the present.
Storm Surge and non-tidal components of Sea Level Elevation are going to be extracted from them.
Any hint on relevant websites, services and available databases is greatly appreciated.

you may request historical hourly sea level measurements (from about 1990 to present) from Puertos del Estado.
The datasets are divided in two components, the astronomical and the meteorological (e.g. storm surge).
There many stations that measure sea level in the Mediterranean Sea near Spain.

I see that the data provided freely on-site are only the annual reports together with some raw data, but divided in yearly (for monthly mean/max) or monhtly (for hourly mean values) segments. Yet it seems rather hard to download long time-series of high-frequency raw data. So I'll try to officially request datasets via contacting officers.

Ismail Bessa thank you very much! Been using a lot the Copernicus on-line platform since the MyOcean period, but mostly for daily forecasts of Sea Levels and many other parameters. For all I know they only provide modelled gridded data of SSH for the past (either form old forecasts or re-analysis assimilated). I cannot find any raw datasets of tide-gauge or other in situ measurements on the platform. I appreciate your input!

Dear Francesca De Serio really appreciate your feedback! I had some luck in the past with these datasets from Ispra for several Italian ports. I see now they have updated the time-series from 2010 to 2019 (will get them). It's just that I was mostly looking for older sets from the '80s and the '90s up to 2005.
