Sayantan have a look to "an informal introduction to turbulence" written by A. Tsinober presenting the materials in a qualitative way. It is just an introduction to this field and not a textbook as mentioned by the author. It would be a good starting point for you in understanding the phenomenology of turbulence and the pertinent methods used in turbulence. You may find a copy here http://bib.tiera.ru/
Personal favorite book are.: http://www.amazon.com/Computational-Mechanics-Transfer-Physical-Processes/dp/1591690374 by Anderson, Pletcher and Tannehill
