I wish to do modelling and simulaion for the fatigue life of my Steel sample. Which is the best software to go and from were can I learn these software?
The ready-made software mostly are commercial software which generally have no desirable accuracy if enough attention be not paid to the problem and the design guidelines given in codes of practices are applicable only to simple shapes. Simulation using finite element software is possible applying carefully some moduls and coupling the required modules. A very good method is coupling Abaqus/FEA and fe-safe software in predicting the uni-axial fatigue behavior of a steel specimen.
