Which is the best model for tyrosinase related research, B16 or B16F10 or B16F1? (especially related with vitiligo or anti-melanogenic effect ). Thanks
To study anti-melanogenic effects, you need a line with high content of melanin, in order to see the supposed decrease. Of these lines, the more melanogenic is B16/F10, but anyway, the three lines decrease in pigmentation after several passages. The level of pigmentation depends on so many factors.
Thank you very much for your answer Dr Francisco, I also read some assays about these researches. Most of those assays indicated that B16F10 is better option in vitro. There are also some passaging problems among those who deal with B16F10 as you mentioned.I will keep in mind you suggestion and work on my new research plan. If you have any suggestion about the passaging , I would love to hear from you .Thank you very much.
