As far as I know, LS-Dyna and Hyperform are both used for the purpose, I think both using explicit dynamics. Although you should explore another options such as Abaqus or Ansys.

Use NASTRAN / ANSYS / ABAQUS

 ABAQUS is very widely used

I think Autoform also does the analysis of sheet metal.

IF YOU ARE ON EARLY STAGE FOR SOFTWARES, better u use ansys , add LS dyna extension files to it,. bt best results will be imparted from Hyperform and autoform.

Usually for large nonlinear deformation metal forming analysis, LS-Dyna or ABAQUS are both good. The main point is which one you are more familiar with or good at. Good luck.

Abacus is the best

He, the software maybe important: Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Nastram, Material Studio and so… I think this was a suggestion for Zhong Chene, usually for large nonlinear deformation metal forming analysis, LS-Dyna or ABAQUS are both good. Another important thing is the analysis and interpretation of the results in relation to initial formulations.
