With spin-coating or dip-coating is easy to control the thickness and they usually give uniform films when you have the proper conditions (pH, reactive concentrations, etc.)

I haven't checked with TiO2 with spray coating but I work with SiO2 and the uniformity is good. Electrophoretic deposition also is very good but your substrate needs to electrically conductive.

For a uniform coating, the mother sol should be completely homogeneous, particles size of the Sol nanoparticles must be same or nearly same, finally the substrate on which coating will be done must have a smooth surface.
I too suggest for spray coating.
I wonder how can I use chemical wet process to make a thin & uniform coating layer.
