It would be best to test a source of convenience for nutrient levels. That can help you decide what source to use. Quite often sewage has lots of nutrients (that's good) and traces of chemicals that may not be good. Industrial wastewater should be tested for industrial chemicals that could be harmful to the algae. It also depends on what you plan to do with the algae.
