About frequency of power supply. Which is difference between kHz and mHz in chemical reactions at surface? How can get eficiency of functionalization and possibilities to get chemical reactions at polymer surfaces whit a power supply that works at 10kHz? Could I improve the time of treatment and pressure...this will be enough?
i have worked very briefly on plasma (atm) and my understanding is that, plasma is used to generate free radicals which can attach itself the surface of a thin film or on the grafting ( functionalization method)
P.S is it mHz or MHz, the difference is huge, 1 MHz, mega hertz -10^9 mHz, milli hertz.
I guess the parameters listed boils down to plasma intensity ( number of free radicle generated ) and changing the parameter which you have listed can change with intensity leading to different degree of functionlization. Also, depending on the gas one is using, different radical species can be generated which again leads to different degree of func'zation
This is based on my understanding, which is extremely limited. I would like to hear from someone who has worked extensively on something simliar

Practically everything would depend on your setup. These power sources can be used for sustaining plasma jets (plasma is going out from the nozzle or capillary), planar Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD), tubular DBD and so on. From my experience, you can adjust the parameters both at kHz and MHz to get good coating/treatment. However, from what I know lets say better results performed with kHz frequency. It is more convenient for both DBD and plasma jets. I would recommend kHz.

I'm reading specific literature and my request is due a large number of articles that relate the use 13,56MHZ power suplly to get chemical funcionalization. Meanwhile we are working hard to try see some signs on FTIR that showing any chemical modifications. Thanks coleagues!
I worked with 5kHz atmospheric plasma jet for CNT functionalization. I think for functionalization, it depend on your gas mixture, for example to get amino group you can use He + NH3 gas mixture. There is also an optimum gas mixture to get optimum functionalization.
