The world is filled with enough destructive power to destroy the world and everyone in it several times over. Yet, we exist. The reason we exist is because the ideas of Not Using weapons has surpassed the ideas of using the weapons. This suggests that powerful ideology on a global scale can overcome every militia and entity.

If we practice evangelizing ideology of co-existence and thought over military action, we can overcome all military capabilities.

It all depends on the context. If one or the world is dealing with an authoritarian major great power that is not worried about how it is perceived, ideology cannot constraint or contain it. In which case, weapons or raw power prevail. But in cases where there is a balance of power of some sort, ideology matters more. It becomes a contest of ideas - but only until one major great power (usually an authoritarian one) breaks away from this and chooses to rely on raw power.
The most powerful weapon is ideology how to get attract masses to follow you as weapon mind. then give them toys to trifle in sandbox.
@steve tsang. Thanks for your comments. I wonder if the authoritarian view that you reference then becomes the real ideology of that entity to begin with. If so, then any diplomacy from them is merely an exercise in manipulation and their ultimate goal is authoritarian.
I believe we are witnessing this occur, unnecessarily so, from China and the US , as well as in other areas of the world.
Let us hope that more level heads prevail that put a higher value in serving than in controlling, and in empowering rather than oppressing. In the end an ideology of humanity working together can overcome authoritarianism, even when many parties are in the authoritarian mode.

2. Democracy stands on 'Equality' principle hence authoritative person performance with respect to limitations for protection of integrity of Constitutional Nationalism along with safeguarding from imposter patriots.
