As a educated woman, I prefer to communicate with educated men. The non-educated teach them at the program, which is in order with the provisions of the Education Ministry.
Primary and secondary education is free in most countries, but university/trades education has also been free in many parts of Europe since the mid-1960's after some people in Greece raised the question: "What are we paying taxes for if education is not free?"
If you had to pay a lot to be educated, then only the rich would be educated.
I think a sensible human being wants to be an educated man. Lack of education may be due to poverty or deprived of opportunity, or maybe other social/ religious factors.
I see a good and interesting point of view in @Ferhan Kuyucak Sengur's submission. An educated woman but not using such to oppress others or put them in bandage. Educated woman with great and positive impact on the life of others in my immediate space.
When a person is described as a "man", it depends on the high qualities of character possessed by the person. Education is not one of these.
We may say that he (a man) is a young boy, and we may deny that description to a person who holds the highest degrees! In my view, education is not a measure of human quality.
If somebody (knowingly or unknowingly) want to remain and spend his/ her life like an animal (say Chimpanzee), s/ he may prefer the life of an illiterate man.
Education has some different meaning to me. It may have no relation with degree/diploma.
Many people lack even the basic knowledge of life but having degrees or with high chairs.
Shaden Shaden M H Mubarak Thank you dear for your opinions.
Man is used as a metaphor which stands for humanity in general. you said that "Education is not a measure of human quality" . At this point, I partially agree with you. Education is not regarded as a measure of personality, so that I asked my question as mentioned above. But the question that arises here is, does education have the ability of changing man's personality? which is better for the modern society to be educated or not?. At the present time, there are a lot of rich people who are not interested in education at all, but they are successful and influential. In fact, educated people have their impact on humanity too, so my point here is that it is not necessary to be educated to achieve whatever you want.
Education is important in the current social and aspirational society. However common sense, emotional intelligence and a good work ethic can often take a person further than a degree. Education is important, but unapplied knowledeg is a waste.
Aristotle which described the differences between as a live and being dead.
I see , there is no differences between educated and uneducated when it come to humanity and it is unfair to judge people on their education backgrounds.
For lack of knowledge innocent souls perish due to ignorance. Knowledge is power and I believe everyone needs to be educated been it formal or informal.
Education is power. Uneducated person therefore is most likely to be a partner of misinformation and destruction. Education makes humans not only to know but to do the right things, in which societies grow. In societies where there is less or no education, chaos is a king and infighting is living, and the failure to live together is their main problem than to solve common problems and grow. Growth is similar to a rising rocket in which when the rocket rises, the place it was and everything there becomes smaller and smaller, and it keeps rising. Growth of societies simulates this. Our past is the where we were, and it will be less civilized and less sophisticated, when we rise. Else we stick to the past, to the present and the future, simply space freezes but time simply keeps on going. That is the signs of a troubled society.
Education is important for rationale and analytically observing as which is logical and not . Education should be utilised for betterment of society through knowledge/awareness, attitude, behaviour and practices.
Uneducated person just follows what's told or shown to him. But one should be an asset to the society and nation , otherwise no use irrespective of educational status.
