I found that due to the SCID mutation T- and B-cell development is impaired, due to the beige mutation NK cell activity is reduced. However, I can imagine [1] that these mutations do not result in absolute absence of these immune cells and [2] that with age some (other) components of the immune system mature. So what would be different in say mice of 6 weeks and mice of 4-5 months?
