There is no single ideal graft material to choose for vertical alveolar bone augmentation. Biodegradable natural and synthetic polymers and bioceramics are already in clinical use . Several combinations of natural and synthetic graft materials that can be used for achieving vertical alveolar bone augmentation. Increasing number of materials and methods to be used, leads to the conclusion that treatment protocols need revisions in light of new developments in bone regeneration therapeutics.
