I'm studying a small goby fish (the two-spotted goby Gobiusculus flavescens) that deposits eggs on macroalgae (kelp of various species) as well as in mussels and other hard structures. In this, and many other gobies, males care for the eggs until hatching. I have been looking for published documentation of other parental-care fishes that deposit eggs on algae, but find very little. Does anyone know about such species, and can provide references to relevant information (scientific publications or other sources)?
