Are there films prsently available that can be used for autoradiography (P-32)? In the internet, I found many X-ray films. Can these be used?

Yes, X-ray film is used for autoradiography with 32P.
These days, it is more common, however, to use nonradioactive detection methods whenever possible, especially chemiluminescence, which can also be done using x-ray film.
Cooled CCD camera systems are preferable because they are more quantitative and have a broader dynamic range than film, but they are expensive.
Thanks for your replies. We have solved the issue now. We activated an old phosphoimager and got the right X-ray films for manual detection.
The aim is to study histidine kinase activity. All non radioactive methods like pImago failed so far.
