Dear all,
I want to simulate the ultrasound on a soft tissue which is submerged in water.
I already have done a simplified simulation using ABAQUS and I am familiar with this software. But I wondered if there is a robust software (like COMSOL or ....) in which I can model this problem much more precisely and/or there are already some examples of this kind of problem in it.
Any kind of experience can help.

While Abaqus allows you using your own materials and elements via Fortran subroutines, still Comsol can give you much more freedom in expense of poor performance. I would suggest to use Comsol if your model will not have many elements, but if number of elements will exceed certain number (I would say > 1000), than only packages of Abaqus class can be used. If interesting, you can find a movie of modelling object fall into water with appearing gravitational waves (look for "Object falls into water" in researchgate).

If you mean "mesh elements" by the term "Element", I would say yes. I should definitely use more than 1000 elements because of the ultra sound wave length.
