We would like to test non-financial job attributes on job attractiveness. We will use conjoint analysis. We look for pros and cons for using ranking or choice based conjoint for investigating in this context. Who can help?
Dear Mykhailo. You are probably right. We have predefined the job attributes which we would like to investigate. Nevertheless we look for experience as regards to the conjoint method (ranking, choice based, etc.) which we shall apply.
Very interesting that you refer to the employer branding stream of research. Choice based conjoint has become rather popular. The challenge is that data density is much lower compared to classical conjoint. As a result, the sample size needs to be much higher in order to see for example the impact of some moderators. We will be limited to a sample size of 300. For choice based conjoint we might need to double or triple the sample size. This is the challenge we are dealing with.
