I am going to start an in-service training in 2 days. In my group I have teachers 21 years old and 58 years old. Also, it is a mixed group with low skills of E-Education and adequate skills for E-Education.
( A teacher in my group has asked me what is Gmail, what I do mean by it? )
I want to start with a simple video-conferencing system. Its not important that it is simple for me, but what is important that it is SIMPLE for its users.
I have experienced many systems when teaching until now, but users side is different.
Any idea?

You can use the simple media social, from your phone, that they also use to communicate. For aexample, using WhatsApp or WhatsApp group, send the idea and maybe send the short video about your topic, through this WhatsApp group.

I think you can make use of zoom app, it is user friendly. You can send a short video demonstrating how to use this app to the trainees via WhatsApp or email beforehand. I think this will prove beneficial for the purpose.

What I think is they are good for first communication but afterwards we need to pass a more sophisticated platform to keep them course oriented.. They are already using social media for personal communications and joy ....

For example Teams is not practical. You should create emails for your participants and its not practical!
Nazime Tuncay I think going live on youtube is another viable alternative.

To Nazime Tuncay: I see, your target group is somehow problematic. Maybe the easiest approach will be to have a Google Meet or Hangouts Meet (Android) with them. Having email account at Gmail for all of them would be handy...

Does Hangout Meet work only with Android. Ok, I have Android phone but what about the other OS?

Google meet is the easiest one. There are ample tutorial demonstrations for the same in every vernacular in YouTube.

That is a very exciting group you are dealing with and due to the need or the demand to have the teleconference live I think you need to strengthen your pre-preparation activities with clear simple instruction language so that you bring everyone on a level playing field before any real stuff knowledge can be pursued. As I have said your instructional manual or reminder ought to be simple and also pre-prepare activities for them to try out their turning onto your teleconference mode. This is a basic level that needs to be thoroughly understood never proceed into the real stuff unless you have addressed this area thoroughly.
MS-team is a very simple conferencing system. I write this from my own experience as am using it.

Nazime good morning from Fiji, technology is a tool to enhance classic educational purposes such as communicating with students, holding a debate or collaborative interaction on-line with peers and students, or even running a teleconference live as you are engaging in right now. Now if internet access is at its best, the various tools mentioned so far in these responses ought to be sufficient. But as an educator we will never be free from the common discrepancy that always exist in the utilization of technological tools; and that is that the level of technology used or is required is always at times found wanting as it lacks to serve its full purpose adequately. This is the common denominator in all technological tools we use to enhance our educational delivery, Why? It is just because we continue to find or introduce better ones day by day and we just need to find time to look for whats best; not for us, not for our lessons but for our purpose at that particular instant. I think regardless of the system to be used. I think ZOOM is great; you need to introduce them to Zoom and how to use it before the conference by a day or two. Also, it would help if you established ground rules for interaction. I am preparing a Webinar on small-group online-interaction.
It is quite interesting to go online this days. The Zoom platform is very good for disseminating information, likewise the loom but it better to introduce any of the two platforms before the commencement of the training because the participants may not be familiar with the latest conferencing IT tools
I am with Samy Yes!! ZOOM can be the best in some places yes we use it in Fiji and its very reliable indeed. I recommend it strongly just because its the only reliable system around for us here in Fiji.
