One of my friends in Malaysia have tried 3 times challenged on their Grouper and Sea Bass fish with local NNV isolates, and all failed, meaning the fish did not die or show any clinical signs, but histology did showed mild vacuolation of the brain compared to control fish.

She would like to see the level of virulent of her local isolate, whether it can killed all the fish at a specific time.

According to your opinion, which condition should be considered in her trial?

What do you think about challenge method? Intraperitoneal injection or Bathing method? Which one is better to show pathogenicity? It would be appreciated if we have your opinion about ideal situation and professional advise.
