Dear Sir. Concerning your issue about the compound which use as surfactant for nitrobenzene soluble in water . Aqueous solution of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS, 24.0 mmol L-1) was used at a given mass of waste solution to extract nitrobenzene, resulting in nitrobenzene desorption removal efficient of 76.8%. The washing effluent was treated in Fe2+/persulfate and Fe2+/H2O2 systems successively. The degradation removal of nitrobenzene was 97.9%, being much higher than that of SDBS (51.6%) with addition of 40.0 mmol L-1Fe2+ and 40.0 mmol L-1 persulfate after 15 min reaction. I think the following below links may help you in your analysis:
a nonionic surfactant such as Tween 80 has been used.
Also in a study by Toyota et al, the effect of different surfactants studied on chemical oscillation at water/nitrobenzene interference. Please see it attached. which I think would help you decide better for your experiment.
