Different codon usage optimization or analysis softwares has different codon usage tables for E. coli (e.g. K12, O157H7, etc..).
Which strain has the codon usage closer to the one of BL21 strain?
I was not able to find from which standard E. coli strain BL21 was derived or is closer to.
Any hint?
I don't think that the difference between E. coli strains will matter.
I suppose K12 (laboratory strain) is the ancestor of BL21: http://ecoliwiki.net/colipedia/index.php/Category:Strain:MG1655
Codon usage will not differ for all practical purposes, but you can compare for yourself:

You can also use Rosetta 2 cells (camR). They derive from BL21 but code for seven rare codons (AGA, AGG, AUA, CUA, GGA, CCC, and CGG). Thus you don't need to optimize your codons.
Robert P Fagan is right, there are two main strain of E.coli used in lab for molecular Biology, the B types are those used for protein expression while the K strains are prefered for gene manipulation (molecular biology)
