Does anybody know whether CD8+ T cells have been shown to produce IL-3 and if so, whether production is restricted to a certain subset (Tc0/Tc1/Tc2)/certain conditions etc.? I could only find an old review so far which claims that Tc2 cells produce IL-3 but with no reference(s) given.

unfortunately I cannot open the file, maybe you could give me the title so I can look for it myself? As far as I could figure out, Kelso has published mouse data. Are you also aware of human studies?

The title of article is "Dissociated expression of granulocyte-macrophage CSF and IL-3 in short-term T cell clones from normal mice". J Immunol. 1995;155(11):5140-50. Also, another article has appeared later "Distinct methylation of the interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) and interleukin 3 (IL-3) genes in newly activated primary CD8+ T lymphocytes: regional IFN-gamma promoter demethylation and mRNA expression are heritable in CD44(high)CD8+ T cells."
