Hello everyone, I am planning to use camera to monitor activities on Nest of Asian Woollyneck. It nests on Tree (Platform), of about nest height 15-35 m. Which camera could be effective for this work ? Please recommend.
Are you planning to take still photographs from the ground or do you want a live video feed that monitors the nest continually from a camera mounted in the tree?
If you want still photos, you'll need a camera with a focal length equivalent of at least 600 mm. The longer the better. Cameras get expensive quickly, but "superzoom" compact cameras can be reasonable.
If you want a continuous video feed, you'll need something like a cctv.
I'm preparing a bit the same project, but for monitoring falcons, and found this solution: https://www.wildlifemonitoringsolutions.com/browning-2020-patriot.html?SID=igrnva9c171ks51euc396bgr27&___store=english
