Remodeling is one of the phases of wound healing, which persists for the longest period as compared to other phases. So, to accelerate wound healing I want to target this phase. Can anyone please tell me what parameters we should consider to know the effect of drug on remodeling phase of healing?
In mucociliary epithelia, I consider parameters as cellular paterning, shape and phenotype as the most reliable and evident. However, it depends on how complicate is the tissue you are working in and the tools (e.g. biomarkers or stainings) available for your model.
During the remodeling phase type 3 collagen becomes replaced by type 1 collagen.

You could think about staining the different collagen types or to measure enzymatic activity of MMPs and TIMPs which are essential during the remodeling phase.

If possible perform cross-sectional histological analysis of wound tissue (H&E stained). The width and area of the wound (from the normal skin on either side) will give you a measurement of how much it is contracting. You can also measure re-epithelialisation from the same images. IHC/IF for myofibroblasts (vimentin/alpha-SMA), blood vessels (alpha-SMA/PECAM) and, as mentioned, Collagen I and III are also valuable markers to assess remodeling of the tissue. ECM markers such as collagens and proteoglycans intrinsic to the tissue type would be a good place to start.
