Which apodization profile is best: uniform apodization, Gaussian apodization or Tanh (hyperbolic tangent)?

For high data rate & low channel spacing, I used 4 channel High Dense WDM system which includes two FBG filter which are back to back connected. One filter has uniform apodization and the second one has Gaussian apodization. Which apodization has less BER and a higher channel resolution?
