You cannot mix geochemical with mineralogical and petrographic investigations. For geochemistry analyses I believe that Activation Laboratories are the best options. For mineralogical study it depends on what you are looking for. EMP, SEM, XRD, TEM or structural analyses?

Lastly, petrographic investigations can be done only by the researcher actively involved in the field. It is impossible to commissionate petrographic analyses to an external lab.

I am currently doing an audit of labs here in the US for my company.

And one thing for sure: I want to avoid shipping my samples or plugs oversea.

You should simply browse through internet and find the main labs in your country or nearby. They should send you openly their price list. If they do not, simply do not enlist with them.
