İ make a new composite material which has very durable top side but very weak bottom side. That is, when it was forced from top side it can be endure the force but when the force was applied on bottom side, material can crack easily
if your material has good resistance to aggressive environments and the aesthetic appearance can be made of good quality (and these characteristics are validated by appropriate specific tests) it could be used as protection for more delicate components, for example in shipbuilding, in the automotive sector or in similar sectors ...
Good luck and my best regards, Pierluigi Traverso.
Going with strength only, it can have various applications such as enclosing the same material on the weaker side for higher load bearing or external coating for thermal application.
But there is insufficient data in your question as you have not mentioned key factors like how the material reacts with thermal applications, elongation, whether the material has high brittleness or elastic properties, and axial and lateral behavior of the material. What are other basic factors such as conductivity (electrical and thermal), reflectivity, and refractoriness?
