Where is a good place to start studying analysis of produced water?

I will start studying the quantitative analysis of produced water (produced with crude oil) for tasks I'll be leading in the laboratory. Does anyone have suggestions for good reviews, monographs, or books that might help a chemist build a productive mastery of the topic?

This question doesn't make any sense. Why would anyone try to produce water from crude oil? If that is needed then the human race is already doomed.
