Can someone please tell me where I can procure animal bones, horns as well as carcasses of dead animals if possible in India? This is needed to form a new biocomposite using these things as reinforcements? Can someone please guide me as to where I can procure these in India?
Probably every city has slaughter house for goat and sheep. I used to collect some tissue from a goat slaughter house for my master thesis. You can try to find that. They can provide you this stuff very happily and most of the time free of cost. Any meat shop can guide you on that issue. Good luck
Getting them from slaughter houses may not be a good solution id dried bones/ horns are to be used for Bio-composite manufacture. Also, it may be deemed illegal to use them without consent from government department. The local bodies associated with Forest department may serve the problem. I will share if I come across any contacts.
You do not need permission to eat meat and you will need permission to use the discarded material research. I have used slaughter houses for research in USA and in Canada and in India. Inspector and or Veterinarian is always present there. For me, Verbal communication with them was enough. They never say no on these issues. Try to go and check with one slaughter house, you should be OK
True, there may be no problem in collecting bones from slaughter houses as no permission is taken for eating meat. But since this will be a part of a well-formed research, leading to some good publications, some fringe group from somewhere may cause some problems. So better to be safe in this respect. Most of the slaughterhouses in India work in the absence of any inspector or veterinarian. So better to be on the safe side. Otherwise no offences meant to anyone or their suggestions in this thread.

Juneja sir thanks a lot for your help but I am actually looking for the beak of some specific bird which is not a domestic or poultry one and claws of a carnivores animal. So I don't believe I will find it at any slaughterhouse in India. Secondly, I want to procure the material legally as it would be used for a new material formation and I don't want to get stuck into the legal procedure which can hamper the opportunity and make it a more tedious process.So, that's why I had raised the above-stated question as I want to procure that by legal and correct means

As you are going forward with remains of some birds which are not slaughtered for flesh in the conventional way, your decision to take the right legal measures is correct. As a starting point, you can contact some suppliers who apply animal specimens to zoologists, or someone from the forest department may give you some lead of the pertinent authorities.
